 Post subject: stuck in 4x4..

1987 b2 2.9 electronic shift.I was climbing around some lil hills when i was done ready to go home, the fucker wouldnt switch back to 2wd.. so i drove home slowly.. im pretty sure its still in 4x4 cause it doesnt like turning at all.. any ideas how to fix this?? thanks

pull the shift motor and either clean it or replace it I think someone did as write up on cleaning it on TRS>com

Yeah I seen and read the topic about those stupid motors.. took mine out clean it and now it works again.. can blame ford to much for putting those on there.. its probably the first time its ever stopped working in 21 years.. its an easy fix to!
