since the B2 topic got so long I decided to post up another one so ya'll wouldn't have to scroll threw everything. I think most of you know I got a 71 Bronco about 2 years ago and have been pretty busy. well the good news is I have been working!

I finaly pulled it in the new garage and started gutting...

this was a picture when I first got it and started getting it running.

as y'all can see I have alot of work to do.

the front floor pans are shot and a couple of the floor supports are completly gone. the tub is actualy leaning on the driver door so I have my work cut out for me. I just went ahead and cut the front off to build a tub front end and make it removable so I can actualy work on it better, and who wants to pay for all that repop stuff when you can build it better for half the price!

this is going to be a slow process but I figured if I was sharing it might help me move a long alittle faster.

what I have done so far: floor shifter, disk brakes, twin stick, full width rear, and beat out the floor pans with a screw driver....

You didn't pull any punches. What's the ultimate goal? Streetable wheeler?

I see you have power steering and a saginaw pump, did you do that?

yeah, I forgot to mention the PS and saginaw upgrade. the motor is out of an 88 bronco. if you guys remember I had driven it around a few times when I first got it all back together. I kind of did that because I have this theory that you should always make sure your project runs before you take it down to nothing.

I plan to finish going full width, I ended up with a D44 out of a 76 F100 thanks to my buddy patrick and kevin in the next county. it has welded wedges so I plan to move them in and get it right the first time. I have even thought of setting it up that the pinion angle in the front is right and then doing a knuckle turn to bring it back at the ends.

I am probably going to rebuild a 76 bronco motor I got off another friend and run the 3 speed unless I can find a cheap adaptor to install that NP435 I got, I thought about maybe a doubler down the road but it is not nessary right now. I do have the 205 still so I might look at options with that case also.

the rear is a BB 31 spline 9" with big drums and 350's I plan to go with a bigger gear but I am going to wait untill I decide on exactly how much lift I want to throw at it.

I installed a set of full size stock coils and blocks to get 2" of lift so I might just stick with that for now.

as far as long term goals for the truck I want something that looks good and can wheel, but I don't plan to go too far that I can't drive it on the street. alot of this is probably going to be a little away from a factory build up, because it seems that everything with the label of "Early Bronco" on it is expencive.

well, I am a little late posting this but last weekend I cleaned up the speedo. it came out pretty good. I took this with my phone because my good camera is MIA.

I also finished pulling the rest of the wireing out and took everything off the dash. I plan to start on the simple stuff right now untill I get the welder situation figured out...

I was going to comment on you having a nicer camera too!

When I bought my Bronco, I set the speedo back to zero using this instructions. It was really easy.

I saw that and used it to take mine apart to repaint.

the reason I didn't want to do that is here if the speedo has a way different reading then the paper work when you tag it they mark your title with an * and it is worth less. that and I can write down the milage and keep track...

I didn't expect the pic to look that good either...I guess phones finaly are starting to catch up!

well, I haven't exactly been working on bronco stuff but it is moving me in a direction. so here are some pic's of what I have been working on!

twin sticked the 205, fabbed my shifters and everything cost me $0

as you can see I used the factory shifter for the 205 and a d21 shifter. I cut down the part that the bolt goes threw. then altered where the bar mounted to the flat part of the d21 shifter. it shifts nice. as y'all can also see I cleaned everything up, painted, and started reassembling.

and the np435 I just got done repainting. I am going to pull it apart and check everything and throw some new gaskets on it since I found the broken bearing retainer...
