 Post subject: Burning a $$$$load of oil!

About three weeks ago my 2.9L BII started having engine tapping noises, I checked the oil and had to add 1.2qt. Less then 3 weeks later(today) the noise came back and I had to add 2.2qt of oil!!!!!!!!!!!
I have no leaks AT ALL!, It is burning oil like crazy and just started doing it. What could be wrong?
Side note: In the past month, sometimes when I turn it on, seems like the whole front end of the truck is shaking like crazy for a few seconds(and oil preassure raises alot. It has done this 1 or 2 times.

Probably have cracked heads. The oil is leaking into the cylinders through the cracks in the valve guide bosses.
